If you or someone you know is caring for someone suffering from a dementia, here's how KDHS can help: Home Support- Household chores, laundry, pet care, shopping, errands, seasonal outdoor chores. Personal Care- Menu planning, meal preparation, feeding, bathing, grooming, dressing, esthetics, personal bathroom needs and exercises. Social/Community Support- Companionship, assistance to leisure settings, recreational activities, mental stimulation activities, exercise programs, assistance to appointments, parties, shopping, restaurants, entertainment venues. Dementia Care- dementia standardized testing, assessments, care plans, stimulation exercises, educational and emotional support, behaviour strategies and modifications. Respite Care- Relief in the home for the caregiver, emergency and overnight available on a limited basis.
